We LOVE when spring and summertime rolls around because it means that styled shoots become so much more frequent. We love when local creatives reach out to include us in their wedding visions; it allows us to flex our stylistic muscles and showcase new dresses that haven't gotten their online love yet! Nicole from I Do Weddings and Events asked us for a whimsical and romantic dress to fit their quintessential Kansas shoot. Their photographer, our newfound bestie Ashley Chin, totally NAILED the effortless, warm vibes of this shoot. It was so hard to pick some of our favorite shots! Take a peek below and RUN, don't walk, to ask Nicole, Ashley, and their crew to be some of your vendors!
Can you see why we LOST IT when Nichole sent over these photos?! Chef's kiss! Not only is Ashley a natural photographer with a great eye, but she also worked retail previously and knew how to clip the dress the best for the model! In styled shoots, the gowns used are samples - they don't belong to the models or photographers, which means they aren't altered to their sizes. Being able to structurally clip a dress that's a little big or small is a HUGE advantage to have in your photographer. We were blown away by Ashley's attention to detail!
When it came to picking the gown, Nicole asked us for a dress that would fit a cottage type of venue, something airy and light. We knew instantly we wanted to go with a champagne undertone to compliment the organic, outdoor backdrop and a sparkly glitter layer to really shimmer in the natural lighting. We all fell in love with a brand spankin' new Morilee gown, style 2404. This A-line dress features a tapered spaghetti strapped dress with gorgeous beaded back detailing. The glitter skirt is throughout the entire dress, giving it a shimmer with every step. The bold appliques trickle through the skirt and then re-emerge at the hem for a dramatic train look. We paired this look with a classic beaded fingertip veil, enought o accent the bridal updo style, but subtle enough to not upstage the dress! Add in Morilee's gorgeous Honey undertone color and this is the ultimate summertime dress!
Thank you so much, Nicole, for including us in your styled shoot. We loved collaborating with you and can't wait to do it again! We would love any opportunity to help you see your visions come through, ESPECIALLY if Ashley is behind the lens. We shared these with Morilee and are eager to showcase all of your hard work. Thanks again!
