#dgcouple, y'all. Zana and Kerry were one of our FAVORITE couples to work with; down-to-earth, fun-loving, and super sweet, they are the definition of "in love!" Their photographer,
Jhoan Thompson, perfectly captured their ultra glam, ultra unique wedding. From Zana's dramatic mermaid gown to Kerry's SUPER stylish outfit, plus their baby girl Sloane's adorable dress, this wedding was literally one of the most stylish we've ever seen. Plus, it looked like a BLAST. You're gonna fall heels over head in love with this couple, just like we did, so get ready!
WE WEREN'T PLAYING AROUND GUYS. Did we not try to tell you this was one of the COOLEST couples we've been blessed enough to style? Zana and Kerry are fashion-forward, detail-oriented people. When it came to their wedding day, they wanted everything to be 10s, 10s, 10s across the board. We knew we needed to DELIVER for this couple because they truly wanted to show out on their wedding. We loved their bold, modern color palette and dramatic wedding day looks!
Zana chose an absolutely STUNNING and DRAMATIC ruffle bottomed mermaid gown. Like, this gown is TRUE mermaid - complete with booty-poppin' seam lines and all. Zana wanted something dramatic, but was worried about a fitted dress looking great on her silhouette. Her consultant put her in a fitted dress anyway (because WE KNEW she'd look like a snack) and SURPRISE - she loved it! It's hard not to with his dress!
Her ruffle-bottom train is totally dramatic and upscale, while her traditional beaded lace keeps her look romantic and classic. We love that she chose a rosy undertone to her dress, which perfectly matched the pastel colors of her bridal party. Combined with her rockin' party hairdo, bold accessories, and stunning lashes and Zana truly TURNED OUT for her wedding day look!
When it came to Zana's girls, she knew she wanted everyone to feel confident and sexy during her wedding day, so she allowed her maids' to pick their own styles in the same color. She chose a brand new color from Morilee bridal called "Sorbet," which we think PERFECTLY bridges the pinks and peaches she wanted in her wedding day. Plus, how perfect is it that her bridesmaids and bridal gown are the same designer! Her Maid of Honor stood out in a gorgeous rose gold sequined dress, adding texture to Zana's photos while also including an extra pop of drama!
Can we PLEASE talk about this group of guys now?! Because while we can't take credit for Kerry's rockin' shoes or sash, we can certainly say we did the rest of it! As a fashion-forward groom, Kerry knew he didn't want to wear something too traditional. If Zana was going to SHOW OUT for the wedding, he needed to, too, ya know?! He chose a stunning ivory tuxedo to compliment Zana while her groomsmen rocked the navy as a compliment to the peachy/pinks of the maids' dresses. We love the cultural details that this couple brought into their wedding day, such as the patterned shawl with matching ties + pocket squares!
How GOOD LOOKING is this group, y'all?! We literally lost our mind when we saw their photos. This wedding was classy yet totally modern and we LOVE when wedding galleries are full of love, happiness, and laughter - something we're sure these two will have in spades!
Congratulations, Zana and Kerry! We seriously cannot thank you enough for trusting us to style your group. We LOVED getting to know you, hanging out with your group, and having you become members of the DG family. Can y'all just get married every year so we keep seeing you?!
