It had been a hot second since we partnered up with our girl Shelby Laine and stretched our creative muscles! We'd helped style a few other photoshoots over the last few weeks, but were ready to put something together ourselves with some of our favorite vendors and models. We wanted to showcase some of our new, private label dresses along with finding real couples to model for us; we love capturing real love! We partnered up with Mark Arts, an absolutely gorgeous art gallery here in Wichita that hosts a multitude of skills classes, traveling exhibits, along with renting out space for all sorts of events - including weddings! They have some AMAZING organic, architectural-looking structures on their property that we'd been dying to shoot at. We loved the juxtaposition of the early, knotted sculptures next to the chic, crisp colors of the bridal gowns. We won't be surprised if we see some real brides and grooms start using this area for wedding photos in the future! Take a peek at some of our favorite shots below and get some more information about the gowns we showcased!
Our first dress featured is Adeline from our private label, Ethereal Beauty! This gorgeous, whimsical A-line features a bold Ivory/Nude colorway, large floral appliques, soft shimmer, and petite tulle bow detailing for an extra touch of airiness. We love how gorgeous this skirt looks frolicking through the fields! We paired this look with our Mulberry suit from Allure Menswear, perfect for a fashion-forward bride and groom who are wanting a trendier, more bohemian feel for their wedding day. The Mulberry color airs cool and grey next to darker tones like blacks and silvers, while often feels warm next to golds and champagnes. It's a super transitional color that adds dimension and interest beyond just a basic black!
Our next couple totally rocked this moody, romantic look we put them in! The bridal gown is Lucien from our Ethereal Bridal collection, an all-Ivory A-line gown featuring a flowy skirt, massive wildflower lace applique throughout, delicately beaded spaghetti straps, and a soft V neckline. This dress has been an immediate favorite by both brides and consultants alike here at DG. Her bold, floral lace is featured throughout the bodice and all the way around the train, creating a dramatic and bold look while still feeling manageable for dancing the night away. The delicate bodice showcases shoulders and collarbones, while feeling more modest and sophisticated with no deep plunge or cut outs. We paired this look with our Allure Menswear green velvet jacket, available for purchase only. We love how this deep color fits the moody, fall vibes perfectly while still acting as a bright color to stand out in photos!
Did you love some of these looks?! Save your favorites to show your consultants during both your bridal and tuxedo consultations! Thanks so much, Shelby, for shooting our ideas and always running with them when we say we wanna crawl inside of sculptures. We appreciate you and our fabulous vendor team that helps make all of our styled shoots come true!
