So, if you’re like us, you’re obsessed with Netflix’s Selling Sunset. If you’re not, let us catch you up: Netflix’s first ever reality docu-series featuring the elite real estate agents in Los Angeles’s Oppenheim Group. Focused around a group of trendy, fashionista women, Netflix definitely has a hit on their hands with this show. The combination of wealthy, luxurious houses and petty office drama keeps viewers rapt with attention.
In the third season, Christine Quinn surprised her coworkers with an engagement and quick wedding ceremony shortly after. Her over-the-top wedding vision was a Gothic Winter Wonderland, complete with bleeding heart cakes, black swans, and literal snow. We expect nothing else from her. Here are some behind-the-scenes tidbits about the most show stopping wedding of the year!
Christine and Christian’s wedding ceremony started as an ethereal white winder wonderland, accompanied by real snow as Christine walked down the aisle. Her extravagant floral arrangements were accented with real painted trees and white roses everywhere!
Her black Galia Lahav gown was custom made for her. Known for their couture gowns, Galia made their first ever black wedding dress for Christine’s edgy vibe. She accompanied the gorgeous fitted dress with a dramatic overskirt! When removed, her sexy fitted gown featured ostrich feathers on the train and a super trendy neckline. Her guests also wore all white, leaving the bride & groom as the focal point in a sea of ivory.
During the cocktail hour, the gorgeous ethereal white got a gothic, ghoulish makeover, with dry ice smoke, red roses, black swans, gold candelabras, and more. The lighting of the event even changed, originally a glowing warm white changed into an intimate red. Christine’s 4 tiered black wedding cake featured a separate cake that bled when cut into – an extra spooky detail that matched her edgy vibe!
All in all, what was the total cost of the wedding? No one knows for sure! “It was over a million dollars, definitely,” wedding planner Lisa Lafferty. “The budget was ‘love,’ so we went above and beyond for Christine.”
