It’s time to introduce one of our newest #dgbrides, India! India and her soulmate, James, had to reschedule their 2020 wedding due to COVID-19, but their anxiously awaited day was full of love and laughter. Their photographer, our girl Shelby Laine, was a perfect fit for this goofy, fun-loving couple! You’re gonna lose it over her customized Moonlight Couture gown, so without further ado: India + James!

Okay, but like, we weren’t kidding when we said this couple was full of love and light! India’s totally customized Moonlight Couture gown was totally perfect for her romantic yet edgy day. We changed the bodice lining color to a gorgeous Cashmere color to match India’s wedding palette much better. We also added permanent spaghetti straps to add extra support throughout the day, allowing India to dance and groove without worrying! Her ruffle skirt created lots of drama and volume while the beaded bodice kept her shimmering with every step!

Can we also talk about how COOL India’s total wedding day look is? We’re a little biased when tattooed brides decide to show off their ink on wedding day, but India’s super edgy vibe mixed with such a romantic, traditional ballgown is giving us LIFE in the best way. She’s a perfect example of wearing what YOU feel best in on your wedding day, not necessarily what you ~think you have to be in. If a ballgown makes you feel most bridal, do it! We love that India wasn’t afraid to bling herself out on wedding day, while also customizing a dress to make it feel special to her. Her simplistic accessories allow the dress and her silhouette to be the true stunner in this dress!

Love James’ super cool green suit look?! We can’t take credit for his exact styling, but if you have similar taste to James’, we definitely have some GREAT colored suit options that can make your groom look ultra fashion-forward! Ask your consultant about our unique menswear options during your consultation.

Congratulations, James and India! We cannot thank you enough for trusting us for such an important part of your wedding day. India, we are so glad you put your faith in such a gorgeous customized gown – truly, it’s one of a kind, just like you. We wish you both a lifetime of love and happiness, something we are such you’ll have in abundance. Now, go celebrate! Cheers to the Nance’s!

Want something totally unique + different, but not wanting to commit to black? We totally understand! Not every alternative bride wants to go dark and moody, so Hesper is a great option! This flowing glitter tulle gown features a soft A-line silhouette, textured glitter tulle, a plunging neckline, trendy beaded banded waist, and a slit perfect for highlighting your silhouette. Available in Misty Mauve, our newest fav color, this gown has a subtle purple undertone that is great for brides who want something ~different, but not noticeably untraditional. Loved Tristyn, but not looking for a ballgown? Introducing her little sister, London! London is Maggie Sottero’s newest edgy gown, a stunning fitted strapless sibling complete with this same bold, black lace. The textured glitter tulle creates visual dimension throughout the dress and we love the detachable off-the-shoulder straps. The see-through bodice keeps the dress just a touch sexy while still allowing your silhouette to totally shine! She also comes with a matching cathedral length veil for extra drama. London has to be ordered from the designer for a small fee, so definitely check with us before you book!

Adara by Wilderly Bride

Wanting to elope in the mountains / desert / rainforest but need the ultimate dress with the fluffiest skirt to pull off the photos? Look no further than Adara! Adara is a permanent member of the Dress Gallery fam, so stop by anytime to see her!

Not sure if you want to commit to a fully black wedding dress?! Hopefully this style can help you choose! Available both in traditional bridal ivory and edgy black, we love this soft A-line gown featuring a gorgeous off-the-shoulder neckline, see-through bodice, and bold lace appliques throughout the skirt. The softly plunging neckline is sexy, yet still modest, allowing you to be the star of the show in this gown. This style is a permanent member of the DG fam, but we have her in the traditional ivory color; if you’d like to see the black in person, let us know prior to your appointment so we can look into loaning it for you!

Guys, you are gonna need some water for this next wedding, because this #dgcouple is SPICY. Like, not even jalapeno spicy. We’re talking Ghost Pepper level spice. Our gorgeous bride + groom, Iya and Dustin, got married in one of the most gorgeously modern, yet timeless ceremonies we’ve seen in a long time. Their photographer, Katy Elaine, totally NAILED their joyous day and we could feel the love radiating from every photo. You’re gonna LOSE IT when you see this bridal party, y’all! Get ready!

This ultra fun, ultra cool, ultra hip couple had a wedding VISION and it came together, y’all. Iya had a dream of a whimsical, romantic, super airy atmosphere with a hint of edge and sexiness. Their totally cool style came together perfectly to create a timeless wedding with the MOST FUN atmosphere. Plus, maybe we’re biased, but how cool does everyone look?!

For real, we cannot get over how fabulous Iya looks! She chose an absolutely stunning Essense of Australia gown, perfectly fitted to her silhouette, with sexy yet sophisticated side cut outs and a plunging v neckline. Her delicate spaghetti straps were beaded with the same soft, white beading used throughout the dress, along with sequining and a layer of cool, textured glitter to add dimension to the dress. Her dramatic extended train totally created a “WOW” moment and we love how she framed her body with a long chapel-length veil!

When it came to styling the bridal party, we can’t take credit for Iya’s maids – she did those all herself. She was a fashion forward bride looking for silk satin midi dresses before our designers made that style. NOW, however, we have some great silk satin options for brides wanting to pull off a look similar to this! Her champagne accents were a perfect neutral against the boys’ classic navy suits. We love how Dustin kept his look just a little different from his groomsmen, allowing them to pop with floral ties and keeping the simplistic vibe all to himself!

We can’t get over how these two look at each other! Iya’s gorgeous Essense gown totally fit the vibe for the fun and funky vision they were wanting, while still feeling traditional bridal. Her big, bold lace appliques throughout kept his gown modern and the stretch jersey liner allowed her to dance the night away while still showing off her hips! We might be biased, but this style is a PERFECT choice for brides like Iya – fun, flirty, yet totally dramatic! D3066 is a dress totally made with the modern bride in mind.

Congratulations to you both, Iya and Dustin! We are SO BEYOND THANKFUL y’all chose Dress Gallery as your bridal boutique. You were a blast to style, we loved hanging out with you + your group, and we totally lost it when we saw your wedding album. We’re going to be talking about your wedding for years to come. We wish you both a lifetime of love, happiness, and laughter – something we’re sure you’ll have in abundance. Now, drink some for us. Cheers to the Browns!

Get ready to celebrate love today, fam, with our newest #dgbride, Ciara! Haley married her partner, Haley, in a stunningly fun, upbeat, and funky ceremony this past summer. Their entire day was filled with love and laughter, plus some really, really sharp fashion. Our favorite chick Shelby Laine was their wedding photographer, which was honestly a match made in wedding vendor heaven. After seeing these photos, you’re gonna wanna become fast friends with this couple – and copy their wedding ideas. Let’s be honest, we do! Take a peek below:

Ciara and Haley’s day was down-to-earth and celebratory – the entire focus was truly on their love and the party, not the frills and decor. Ciara kept her look totally relaxed and comfortable with her flowy Moonlight Tango gown, featuring white/crystal beading throughout the bodice and a stunning soft blush undertone. Her petite tank straps perfectly accented her shoulders while the soft v neck kept her look sexy, yet supportive the whole day! This dress was the perfect choice to hug guests, play games, and dance the entire night away in.

Can we PLEASE talk about how stunning Ciara’s wedding look is? Bohemian yet glam, polished yet effortless. Her gorgeously curly hair makes us jealous with its’ volum and her soft crystal/mixed metal/mixed gem accents perfectly fit the vibe. We love that she kept her bouquet petite and subtle, like her gown, allowing her natural beauty to really be the star! Plus, the dried florals and pampas grass look creamy and dreamy against the blush of her dress.

We can’t take credit for Haley’s fabulous look, but is there anything cooler than a suit elevated to street wear? We don’t think so. Her formal suit keeps her look perfect for a wedding, but her crisp ivory white hat and shoes accent her look and give it MASSIVE personality. This super cool combination of upscale yet modern is what we love to see from our couples. Wear whatever YOU makes you feel confident and fabulous. For Haley, it was a backwards ball cap on her wedding day and we are HERE. FOR. IT.

Congratulations, Ciara and Haley! Thank you so much for trusting us to style you for your big day. We can’t thank you enough for letting us be a small part of such an important day in your lives. We wish you both a lifetime of love and happiness. Cheers to the Mortimers!

Ready to lose it over these gowns in person?! Show your consultant during your appointment and we’ll pull these styles for you!

Giddy up, y’all, and hold onto your cowgirl hats, because we have the coolest wedding we’ve seen in a hot minute about to drop on the blog! Our newest #dgbride Meghin literally created the most gorgeous wedding for her summertime ceremony marrying her soulmate, Tyler. Her modern take on a Western wedding is TO DIE FOR and her photographer, Bridget Nicole, has quickly jumped to a top favorite of ours. You’re going to want to steal every piece of Meghin’s wedding, so get ready to fall in love!

Meghin wore an absolutely fabulous Chic Nostalgia gown named “Quest,” which she customized with shoulder cuffs for an ultimate bohemian vibe. Her fitted strapless gown is a timeless silhouette, while her geometric and floral lace combination recreates the ultimate boho look. We love her totally unique and bespoke pieces to her wedding day look, too. From her leather buckle booties to her leather branded accents, we are OBSESSED with her styling. Just take a peek at her gorgeous bandana bouquet wrap!

Meghin kept her super edgy look classic and feminine by adding pearl accents in her jewelry and veil, which matched the petite beaded detailing throughout her dress. We love her gorgeously wild bouquet courtesy of Roots and Blooms was perfect – the pampas grass accented against the creamy, dusty florals complimented the nude undertone of her gown! Meghin had a vision for her wedding day look and we love how she stuck to it, regardless of how “nontraditional” it may seem. These are the photos you’ll remember forever, so wear what makes you feel the most confident and beautiful!

We can’t take credit for Tyler’s look, but his modern rustic grooms attire complimented Meghin perfectly. Everything from the leather accents to the pampas grass boutonniere was the ultimate pairing to Meghin’s sexy yet sophisticated Western look. They kept their bridal party casual and comfortable with flowy emerald chiffon dresses and casual attire for the groomsmen! Also, can we PLEASE talk about Meghin’s gorgeous sparkly romper she changed into for the reception?! Because while we can’t take credit for that fabulous frock, we can ABSOLUTELY be jealous of her style!

Congratulations, Meghin and Tyler! We cannot thank you enough for trusting Dress Gallery to style you for your big day. We truly believe that “Quest” was just waiting for you, the ultimate cool bride, to rock on your wedding day! We wish you both a lifetime of love, happiness, and laughter – something we’re sure you’ll have in abundance. Cheers to the Bowmans!

Okay, y’all, we LOVE trend forecasting for brides. Being able to keep a pulse on what our brides find unique, interesting, and customizable is important for our business. We want our brides to trust that we have their wedding visions in mind and we are always on the lookout for cool new trends in the wedding industry. Here a few trends we’re seeing for 2022 brides and we are SO STOKED. Fall in love with some of these?! Let your consultant know and we can help style you with these in mind!

Trend #1: Bridal Bows

We are LOVING the bridal bow trend! Whether you’re willing to wear one in your hair, on your shoes, on your dress, or more, bows are a cute and flirty way to add a little drama to your wedding day look. They’re the perfect accent for a bride who wants a traditional, yet modern twist. We’ve seen brides style their looks with tulle hair bows, bow-tie shoes, and even gorgeous bows on the dress themselves!

Trend #2: Bridal Jackets

So bridal jackets aren’t really ~new – we’ve seen a lot of brides create personalized denim/leather jackets for their wedding day. But instead of a coverup for cold weather, we’re seeing brides include bridal jackets as part of their ceremony look! Dainty, feminine jackets out of tulle have been most popular, but we’ve seen some gorgeous lightweight bridal cardigans, fun bell-sleeves, feathers, and more! Don’t be afraid to try something cool and different, especially if your dress is simplistic.

Trend #3: Western-Inspired Accents

Maybe it’s because we’re in Kansas, but our brides are LEANING into the Western-inspired design features and we are HERE FOR IT. Whether you’re wanting leather details, turquoise jewelry, cowboy hats, dried florals, cow hide…..the lists go on and on! Western-inspired weddings mixed with fun, modern pieces are having a MOMENT right now and we love it. This is a great way to personalize your wedding while also showcasing something you love. Plus, we love the option of pairing your bridal look with bold squash blossoms – totally chic yet ultra cool!

(See that gorgeous Western bride? That’s #dgbabe, Kayla, who was featured in Western Weddings Magazine!)

Trend #4: Bridal Headbands

So if Blair Waldorf was getting married in 2022, she would ROCK this look. Preppy yet fashionable, we are loving the idea of pairing such a traditional hair piece for such a formal event. Instead of traditional bridal crystals, brides are opting for pearls, padded, and even attaching the veil to create a totally new look! The hair accessory of your youth is getting a sophisticated makeover for the ultimate bridal statement.

Trend #5: Nontraditional Menswear Ties

Don’t forget about spicing up your groom’s look! Menswear is really taking a front seat in wedding planning these days with many grooms wanting to make as much of a statement as the brides. We love grooms who decide to accent their look with unique details, particularly ties! Bolo ties are definitely having a moment, but we’ve seen grooms choose ascot/cravats, floral/patterned shirts, and even jewelry instead! Don’t sleep on having your man look just as fashionable as you do.

Would you rock some of these 2022 trends?! Tell us your favorites at your appointment or in our Facebook comments!

Holy goodness, y’all, get ready to swoon over these gorgeous photos of our next #dgbride, Ashlen! She married her soulmate, Austin, a super classic black-and-white ceremony in July 2021. We love how moody yet intimate all of these shots are courtesy of wedding photographer phenom, Staci Brucks. You are gonna wanna save ALL of these photos to your Pinterest for inspiration because this wedding is a DREAM. Get ready to fall in love!

Ashlen chose an absolutely stunning crepe Maggie Sottero gown named “Fernanda” that we absolutely adore. With no embellishments save for fabric buttons down the entire skirt + train length, Ashlen’s silhouette is the true star of this gown. This all ivory gown perfectly fit her classic black-and-white vibe of the wedding, a gorgeous combination of edgy formal that only was heightened by a little bit of stormy skies + rain!

For real, how dreamy are these umbrella photos?! These are a perfect example of not letting the weather ruin your day, but instead embracing everything that your wedding day gives you and allowing it to let your photographer get creative. These rainy day shots are cute and unique, but also intimate and a little steamy with the Lucite umbrella! The industrial feel totally fits with Ashlen + Austin’s vibe while also giving them a safe space from the rain to cuddle up together for gorgeous photos!

Now we gotta show off our girl Ashlen, though. Her dress is a simplistic stunner, totally plain minus those classic fabric buttons throughout the bodice and train. Her tank straps are ultra supportive and classic, while her sheath fit totally highlights her body while still allowing her to dance the night away. Accented with two seams through the bodice and down the thighs, this feature is made to follow the natural curves of your body and let the dress fall perfectly. Fernanda features a swooping, wide train, perfect for dramatic shots and creating extra dimension in photos. Basically, Ashlen looks 10 feet tall in this gown by letting her body do ALL the talking!

Congratulations, Ashlen and Austin! We are so thankful that Ashlen trusted us to style her for such an important day. You truly chose a gorgeous gown and we think Fernanda was just waiting here for you! Your classic wedding look is a vibe we will reference and look back on in awe for years to come. Thank you for letting us be a small part of your big day. We wish you a lifetime of love and laughter. Cheers to the Riggs!

Get ready to fall heels-over-head in love with our newest #dgbride, Samantha! She married her soulmate, Austin, in a super cool and fun summertime ceremony. We loved their upbeat-yet-ultra-chill attitude that permeated throughout their whole wedding. Who better to shoot it yet than our girl, Shelby Laine photography?! Literally there was not a better combo than this couple + Shelby. You’re going to want to totally copy all of this wedding (that’s okay, we totally do, too!), so don’t forget to save all your favorite photos!

Samantha kept her wedding vision totally timeless, chic, and classic, which neutrals (ivory + black) featuring greenery accents throughout. We’re obsessed with her anemones, creating a super edgy yet totally cool bouquet! Her classic lace A-line gown combined with Austin’s handsome and chic black tuxedo is going to look totally perfect for years to come.

Samantha chose an absolutely stunning MGNY A-line gown, featuring a gorgeous v-neckline, dramatic strappy back, frosted embroidered lace, and delicate detailing throughout the bodice. We love the trickling lace appliques throughout the skirt and the extra va-va-voom that the hem lace brings! Plus, do you peek Samantha’s secretly sexy side cut outs?! This dress is the perfect combination of traditional yet modern, modest yet sexy. We love how they had a ton of fun with these funky sunglasses as a great wedding day photo prop! Bringing in cool props like sunglasses totally personalizes your wedding photos and also creates a totally unique look!

YAS SAMANTHA! WORK THAT SKIRT! For real, can we talk about how much volume Samantha has in this skirt? Not quiet a ball gown, yet a little more full than a flowy A-line, this MGNY gown has the perfect amount of volume for brides wanting drama, yet comfort for their wedding day. Add in the super bold and dramatic lace appliques and you have a STUNNER ready for the dancefloor!

Congratulations to the Tedders! Thank you, Samantha, for choosing Dress Gallery as your bridal boutique. We loved working with you and styling you on this super special day. Your MGNY gown was truly made for you and we’ll be talking about your super cool and industrial wedding for years to come. We wish you + Austin a lifetime of love, happiness, and laughter. Cheers to you both!

It’s time to show off another #dgcouple, but this time, they’re a part of the extended Dress Gallery family! Introducing Katie and Josh, a rock-n-roll couple who didn’t let COVID-19 rain on their crazy, fun parade. They threw caution to the wind and had a fun, whirlwind day full of romance, laughter, and good alcohol – is there even a better day?! Katie is actually Shelby Laine Photography‘s mama, so when she was dress shopping, our girl Shelbs didn’t even give her another option of where to look. Can you guess who did the gorgeous photos?! (Psst – it’s Shelby, duh.) Get ready to fall in love with this ultra cool couple!

Can we talk about this unique wedding venue?! Katie and Josh had to change their plans a few times due to COVID-19, so eventually they both threw up their hands and said “Let’s just have some fun!” A family friend owned a liquor store, which they decorated for the occasion and filled with cardboard cutouts along with a small group of friends and family. The entire day was down-to-earth and intimate, along with totally cool! Get ready to take a peek at the bridesmaids’ bouquets!

Katie’s bridesmaids were the most fun group of girls. She wanted the group to be mismatched, but keeping in the jewel tones of her wedding colors. We girls dressed up their outfits however they wanted to, boots or heels, and we love the unique combination of colors and styles. Add in bouquets wrapped in Crown Royal bags (we told you this day featured good liquor!) and you have the the perfect combo between fun and sophisticated.

We kept Josh’s look sleek and cool, featuring a patterned black tuxedo and hunter green accents. We love how he paired his look with silver sparkly Chuck Taylors – the perfect compliment to Katie’s belt! Also, can we talk about ROCKING her pink leather jacket it?! Talk about the ultimate alternative bride! The whole day was Quintessential Katie & Josh, a fun-loving couple who wanted an equally fun and fabulous wedding day.

Congratulations, Josh & Katie! We are so thankful for you to have chosen Dress Gallery as your bridal boutique. We absolutely loved getting to know you and consider you a part of our DG family! Cheers to you both – and drink an extra one for us!
