Alright, y’all, we are taking a tiny break from regularly-scheduled REAL bride content and showcasing one of our newest photoshoots! This super fun, full of laughter day was one of the most fun styled shoots we’ve done in a long time. Our girl Shelby Laine took the photos, the fabulous Elgin Hotel in Marion, KS hosted, and we had a blast hanging out and goofing around. We hope you’ll fall in love with this beautiful venue as much as we did! Check out some of our favorite pics below:

If you’re wanting the PERFECT old hotel/vintage building type of vibe, The Elgin should be super high on your list of potentials. This gorgeous hotel features turn of the century architecture, stunning details, and the perfect balance of elegant-yet-spooky vibes. We loved how ethereal and moody the entire building felt and there were SO MANY great places to shoot. The entire grounds are gorgeous and give you TONS of options for your ceremony set ups!

Take a peek at the gorgeous woodwork of the building! The gold accents! The piano in the foyer! The elegant chandelier! We could literally go on pretty much all day because we are literally obsessed. This was our first shoot at The Elgin but it certainly won’t be our last.

When it came to styling for this shoot, we knew we wanted looks that captured the elegant, romantic vibe of The Elgin. We chose one of our exclusive gowns from our private collection, Opal and Lace, named Blossom! This A-line gown features a subtle v-neckline, organic trickling lace, whimsical bishop sleeves, and a stunning layer of secret sparkle. These sleeves are actually even detachable, allowing for a costume change post-ceremony if you wanted. We loved the long sleeve look and wanted to keep the entire vibe sophisticated, yet fun-loving.

For our male model’s look, we kept everything classic and chic with our most popular navy blue suit and matching tie. His ivory pocket square to match his ivory shirt allows for an extra pop of color next to his boutonniere. His sophisticated, timeless look next to her whimsical, blush-colored gown created a perfectly complimentary look that screamed elegance, yet warmth. We can recreate this look and styles similar with your own wedding colors with your groomsmen easily.

We had SO MUCH FUN during this shoot. What was your favorite part – the gorgeous outfits, the fun photography, the gorgeous venue?! We might be biased but we loved all three! Let your consultant know you want to try Blossom on during your next appointment!

We love ALL of our brides, seriously, but we’ve EXTRA biased when a #dgbride is a DG employee! Our newest consultant, Darian, started at Dress Gallery two weeks after her wedding to her soulmate, Will! Darian and Will decided they wanted a true fresh start – new careers, new marriage, new puppy, new chapters! Their photographer, Evangelyn Byall-Craig, was a perfect fit for their vintage and traditional wedding. You’re gonna LOSE IT over Darian’s dress and details. Without further ado, our girl Darian!

Darian chose an absolutely STUNNING Martina Liana gown she purchased off-the-rack, which means she got a rockin’ deal on a couture designer. This fitted spaghetti strap dress features delicately beaded straps, a sexy open back, multiple layers of lace, and the most perfect v neckline. Her dress was a beautiful balance of traditional, yet modern; sexy, yet sophisticated. With Darian’s petite frame, we love that she went with a fitted silhouette to really highlight her body and allow her to feel extra bridal!

Can we PLEASE talk about how Darian clearly mastered the “smize?!” Tyra Banks would be SO PROUD of this girl’s modeling skills! Her total wedding day look was part edgy, part sexy, part traditional, all combined to create the most gorgeously romantic look we’ve seen. Combined with her billowing curls, soft bridal updo, and gorgeous cathedral veil, Darian had ALL the drama for her wedding day and we are HERE. FOR. IT.

We were also lucky enough to style Darian’s girls for her special day as well! Darian knew she wanted her wedding day to feel romantic and airy, which was perfect for her summertime wedding. Her dusty color palette matched the organic wedding venue and we love how her Kanali K bridesmaids dresses accented against her ivory gown and the pops of color in the bouquets! Darian had her girls feel comfortable by choosing whatever style they preferred, but kept her palette simplistic by keeping everything in a single dusty tone. This color palette is romantic and timeless for sure!

Cheers to you, Darian and Will! We are so thankful you decided to trust us for your wedding day. And maybe we’re biased because you’re an official DG family member now, but your wedding is gonna go down as one of our favorites forever. We love you and Will and are SO EXCITED to watch your marriage + family grow as you grow within Dress Gallery. And let’s be honest, boo, we’re biased because you look SMOKING in that Martina gown. Thank you for trusting us and thanks for becoming family. Congratulations to the Kings!

We love collaborating with some of our favorite vendors to create images and magic that inspires both us and our brides! Ready to lose it over these gowns in person?! Show your consultant during your appointment and we’ll pull these styles for you!

HOKAY, Y’ALL, GET READY FOR SOME SPICE! We are over the moon excited to introduce our newest #dgcouple, Maeghan and Colin! They were wed in holy matrimony during a gorgeously summery July 2021 ceremony. Their totally fun atmosphere throughout their wedding was perfectly photographed by our girl, Shelby Laine, and it was SO HARD to narrow down our favorite images! We had such a blast styling this couple – get ready to fall as far in love as we did!

Maeghan chose an absolutely STUNNING Allure Couture gown featuring head to toe beading, bold lace detailing, and a stunningly fitted silhouette. Her sexy yet sophisticated gown was the perfect combination for her traditional yet modern wedding. We love that she kept her wedding day look down-to-earth, yet stylish, by rocking a gorgeous party pony! We’re biased, but we LOVE a good bridal ponytail!

How stunning is Maeghan in this gown?! The couture fit is stunning on her body, truly showing off her silhouette while still allowing her a comfortable dress to move around in all night. Her dress features a stretch liner, which means it was MADE for dancing! Her gown is beaded from neckline to train, which is dramatic enough for photos, but easy maintenance enough for a bustle. We love her greenery and white rose bouquet, which totally compliments her neutral color palette. Add in her sexy keyhole back and modest yet gorgeous v neckline and this dress is truly perfect!

When it came to styling Colin and his groomsmen, we decided to keep their look classic and timeless – just like Maeghan! We chose our steel grey suit named “Houston,” which was a great choice for a July wedding. Stylish and formal enough to feel like black, but more lightweight for a summertime affair. His silver and ivory accents perfect complimented Maeghan’s classic look. We love the soft texture of Colin’s grey suit that adds just a touch of dimension to all the photos!

Congratulations to the Reichenbergers! We are so thankful, Maeghan + Colin, that you trusted us to style you + your group for such an important day. We had a great time getting to know you. We wish you both a lifetime of love, happiness, and laughter, which we’re positive you’ll have in abundance. Cheers to you, Maeghan + Colin!

Are y’all ready for our next #dgbride? Because I don’t know if y’all are ready for this SPICE LEVEL. Hottie bride Katie married her soulmate, Kyle, in a fabulous intimate and summery ceremony this previous July. Their timeless yet romantic wedding day featured all the good, good stuff – a stunning dress, gorgeous bridal party, and photos courtesy of wedding photography masters Kay x Bee. We have no doubt that Katie would have looked like a snack in anything she chose, but after seeing these photos of her wedding, we are RUNNING to the gym. Or toward the Ashleys to make us look like that. Whichever. Get ready to fall heels-over-head, fam!

Katie chose an absolutely SPICY Essense of Australia gown featuring a gorgeously low back, delicate spaghetti straps, and subtle sparkle throughout. Her multiple layers of lace create visual dimension in her photos, while also giving her the best of both worlds – a bold, modern lace applique layer with a delicately vintage Chantilly lace layer underneath. Katie chose to keep her look traditional by picking a stunning ivory/ivory color palette. We knew that we wanted her wedding look to be romantic, sexy, and sophisticated – which we totally ROCKED!

Check out some of these GORGEOUS bridal shots of Katie! We love the linear lace detailing throughout the dress, perfectly placed to highlight a woman’s silhouette. Her lace detailing through the skirt, placed along the thighs, was created to give a long, luxurious look. Her dress also features sexy yet subtle side cut outs, showing off just a hint of skin underneath the bold lace layer. Her softly plunging v neckline is sexy, but also still sophisticated. This dress features almost NO beading, allowing for the structure of the gown to really show you off – just like Katie!

When it came to styling her girls, Katie wanted a simplistic, yet totally comfortable look. She chose a super flowy chiffon look from Jasmine Bridal in 2021 power color “Cafe.” This dusty mauve features a slightly taupe undertone, which perfectly matched all of Katie’s bridesmaids’ hair and skin tones. She kept everything easy and low maintenance by having all the girls in the same fabulous dress, featuring a banded waist, plunging v neckline, and side slit for a tad of sexiness!

Thank you, Katie, for trusting Dress Gallery to be your bridal boutique. We LOVED working with you + your girls; plus, we can’t believe you’re our first party in the stunning “Cafe” color! We truly believe you + Kyle were made for each other. We wish you both a lifetime of love, laughter, and happiness – something we’re sure you’ll have in abundance. Cheers to the Detmers!

Okay, y’all, so we’ve had something in the works for a while and we are SO STOKED to finally share the news. We’ve been wanting to have a Dress Gallery exclusive collection of dresses, something unseen anywhere else, so that brides could feel truly confident in saying “yes” to their dress. So, what did we do? BROUGHT IN OUR OWN DRESSES, OF COURSE! Yeah, you read that right! Introducing Opal & Lace, Dress Gallery’s exclusive collection of bridal gowns. We worked with a designer to curate and customize a fabulous collection of gowns unique to our store, area, and beyond.

Slowly, but surely, these babies are arriving to us, but we have our first nine dresses here in store and we’re in L-U-V. Like, serious love. Because these aren’t by a specific designer, they’re ~ours, we’re responsible for all marketing photos, which means you KNOW we have a fabulous photoshoot in the works with our girl Shelb to showcase these babies off. In the meantime, we wanted to still show you, so we took some in-store mannequin photos so you can RUN to your appointment and show your consultant.

Ready to see the first ever Opal and Lace dresses?! Here we go, fam!

INTRODUCING: AALIYAH

Our first arrival, literally the first, was Aaliyah, a gorgeously soft A-line gown featuring the dreamiest tulle and bold lace appliques. Her silver threaded bodice shimmers in sunlight and her petite straps give support while showing off your fabulous shoulders. We love how down-to-earth and easygoing this dress is – perfect for destination elopements, garden parties, or even just a low maintenance bride.

INTRODUCING: BERNADETTE

Bernadette is a sweet thing, timeless and classic with a softly ruched v neckine, thick tank straps, and a gorgeous illusion button back. Her soft cashmere color is the perfect combination between champagne + blush (but don’t worry, she comes in all ivory and other color options, too!) We love her softly place lace appliques throughout the bodice and skirt, creating negative space and whimsical feel throughout the dress. Finished with a gorgeous charmeuse belt to match the color of the dress and you have the ultimate feminine gown!

INTRODUCING: BETTY

Betty is a STUNNER of a gown because let us tell you, she packs a punch when it comes to design details. This soft A-line gown features fully beaded lace appliques throughout, beaded and petite spaghetti straps, a modern plunging neckline, and a double layer of lace for dimension throughout the skirt. Her horsehair trim allows for a perfect flair of the baby train, the easiest thing to bustle and dance the night away in. We have her in store in Cashmere, a gorgeous blushy/taupe, but she can be ordered in multiple colors for whatever your heart desires!

INTRODUCING: ANYA

Anya is the perfect bohemian gown just waiting for her free-spirited bride. This A-line gown features petite spaghetti straps and off-the-shoulder flutter sleeves to add a touch of whimsy to the dress. Her fully beaded appliques have white/crystal beading, allowing you to shimmer with every step but play with whatever metal accents you want. (We think rose gold would be beautiful with this gown!) Her soft skirt features next to no volume, allowing your silhouette to be the true stunner in this babe. Top if all off with her trendy and modest scoop neckline and you really have a unique, yet classic gown.

INTRODUCING: ARCHER

Archer is a dress for a bride ready to celebrate. This super fun A-line gown features a double banded waistline, made to truly highlight your silhouette and elongate your torso. Her bold matte appliques throughout the bodice and skirt keep this dress down-to-earth while the slight beading through the belt adds a pop of sparkle. In store, we have her in a super edgy grey color, but she’s available in more traditional options for brides wanting to feel more “bridal.”

INTRODUCING: AMARA

Want a gown with a little va-va-voom to her? Then definitely check out Amara! If you’re a classic, timeless bride wanting a little bit of a Gatsby/art deco flair, this stunning A-line gown should definitely be on your list. She features a soft charmeuse silk skirt, making her comfortable yet sexy. Her silhouette shows off your hips while still flowing at the waist for easy dancing. Her banded waist, romantic off-the-shoulder neckline, filligree-based lace appliques, and button back all combine to create the perfect storm of modern yet jazzy.

INTRODUCING: BANNON

If you’re a long-sleeved bride, we didn’t forget about you! Bannon is a gorgeous lace illusion sleeved gown featuring a plunging v neckline, v back, geometric lace banded waist, and organic lace appliques throughout. She features minimal sparkle, instead focusing on the natural floral accents and keeping the bohemian vibes at the forefront. Her soft A-line skirt is perfect for dancing, chatting, and celebrating. Our Bannon is featured in Mocha, a gorgeously deep taupe color, but has many color palettes to choose from!

INTRODUCING: ADDIE

Are you more of a plain, chic type of bride? We’ve got you, boo! You’ll definitely fall in love with Addie, a super soft A-line dress featuring the dreamiest tulle skirt, soft ribbon belt (available in pink or ivory!), off-the-shoulder neckline, and crisp, clean seam work. This dress allows YOU to be the focus, with no sparkle or lace to take away from your natural beauty. We can totally see this gown in any setting, whether a traditional church or an outdoor garden party.

INTRODUCING: BILLIE

We shouldn’t pick favorites, but if we did, Billie would be pretty high up on the list. This strapless A-line gown features a plunging neckline, totally beaded appliques, and a super flowy skirt designed for celebrating the night away. We love her delicate train, which would make the easiest bustle, and the way the appliques trickle from the bodice through the skirt to add continuity to the look. Throw your hair up with a gorgeous veil, show off your shoulders, and you’re ready to party until the early morning with Billie!

These are our first few Opal and Lace dresses and we’re anxiously awaiting more! Which one is your favorite? Which NAME is your favorite? Let us know at your appointment or on Facebook and who knows – you might get a dress named after you!

Stunningly cool and collective #dgbride Amy married her soulmate, Brendan, on August 1st, 2020 at the Barn at Grace Hill. Their photographer, Allison Taylor Photo, did an excellent job capturing this couple’s joyous love; in every photo, Amy and Brendan were beaming! We love the light, bright, and airy atmosphere of this beautiful summer Sunday wedding.

We love how classic and timeless Amy kept her wedding vision. She planned her entire wedding herself with a very specific idea: clean, bright, and modern! The bright white and ivory colors were accented with gorgeous greenery, pops of pink/blush, and grounded by the grooms’ blue suit. Combined with champagne accents and this wedding was the ultimate late summertime occasion!

Amy ended up choosing a fabulous stretch crepe Maggie Sottero gown with a high neck and open back. “I didn’t really want any beading or busy lace, but I also didn’t want to feel too plain on the big day,” Amy said. Accented with gorgeous buttons down the train, this chic and clean dress was the perfect choice for Amy’s wedding day. We love how she kept her total look simplistic by choosing statement studs, gorgeous hair barrettes, and a scattered pearl veil!

Amy and Brendan were a couple who had to change their original wedding plans due to COVID-19. While their day looked a little different than they originally intended, they were still able to celebrate with an intimate gathering of loved ones.

“My favorite memory was getting to spend the entire evening with Brendan and realizing that nearly all of the mot important people in our lives had taken the time to celebrate with us,” Amy said. “With the craziness of the year, it was such a blessing to have this (safely executed) day after much anticipation!”

Congratulations Amy & Brendan! You were truly a joyous, loving couple and we are so thankful your infectious kindness was a part of our world. We wish you both a lifetime of love and happiness!
