Our newest #dgbride is one that is a little extra near and dear to our heart! Hannah is actually consultant Courtney’s sister-in-law, so being able to help style her for her wedding day was something everyone at Dress Gallery took extra pride in. Hannah married her soulmate, Zach, in an intimately religious outdoor ceremony followed by a garden dinner party full of love and handmade touches. Their photographer, Gloria McVay, is a close family friend and congregation member, who captured their down-to-earth and organic day perfectly. Get ready to fall heels over head in love with Hannah’s whimsical look!

Hannah chose an absolutely stunning off-the-shoulder A-line gown from Allure Bridals, style 9803. Her champagne undertone was the perfect accent against the natural greenery of their day and the soft tulle sleeves created the ultimate whimsical vibes. The beaded lace appliques adorned the bodice and trickled into negative space throughout the skirt, but a hidden layer of secret glitter sparkle allowed Hannah to shimmer with every step. Add in champagne fabric buttons down the entire train for an extra romantic detail and this dress was PERFECT for their vineyard reception!

Hannah kept her wedding day organic, down-to-earth, and ultra laid back. Zach’s outfit was primarily linen and instead of focusing on minor details, they were extra intentional in planning their ceremony service and worship hour during the reception. One moment that was particularly touching was Zach commissioned a local baker to make homemade challah bread, which everyone broke together at the beginning of their reception after prayer! As a couple of the Lord, it was important to Zach and Hannah to incorporate these touches throughout their wedding day to really exalt in their marriage commitment.

(Maybe we’re biased over here at Dress Gallery, but that’s one good looking family if you ask us! Hannah and Zach are standing next to their siblings, including consultant Courtney, her husband Tyson, and their siblings Taylor, Anna, & niece Aurora!)

Instead of traditional dancing, Hannah and Zach had a local worship band full of friends play during the ending of their reception and their exit. Hannah and Zach were able to spend their night worshipping the Lord while also connecting with loved ones. It was a super intimate moment at the end of the night as guests came up to extend their well wishes to the couple! Plus, who doesn’t love a good sparkler exit?!

Congratulations to the Ostermans! Thank you so much, Hannah, for being a DG bride and allowing us the opportunity to style you for your special day. We absolutely loved getting to know you and consider you a member of the DG fam! We wish you and Zach a lifetime of love and happiness. Cheers to you both!

Okay, y’all, we are O B S E S S E D with all of the color we’re seeing in bridal gowns recently. Traditional ivory will never go out of style, but if you’re a bride wanting to add a little color to your big day, then some of our designers have been waiting for you! We love how soft, feminine, and pastel the designers keep the bridal gown colors, making them gorgeously subtle shades to keep you feeling bridal, not prom-y. Add in some fun embroidery, floral veils, or more unique options to keep the color flowing! Here are 8 of our favorite colored wedding gowns featured RIGHT HERE at DG! You can try all of these gowns on and more during your bridal appointment!

Adara by Allure Bridals

Have you fallen totally in love with this grey/blue stunner?! This flowy, whimsical a-line features a gorgeously dramatic back, trickling lace appliques, a plunging neckline, and banded waist! We can only imagine how gorgeous the skirt of this dress would look flowing in the breeze for a mountaintop elopement!

Hattie by Rebecca Ingram

Introducing one of our FAVORITE new fitted gowns, Hattie! This super gorgeous fit-and-flare gown features a blush undertone with subtle glitter sparkle and matte lace, a total subversion of the traditional bridal style. Combine her fabulous structure, deep plunging neckline, and strapless sweetheart neckline and you have one unique gown!

Sparrow (5805) by Morilee

Not a fan of blush? That’s okay – we love that designers are heading into the “cool” direction, literally! Sparrow is a gorgeous a-line gown that comes in Smokey Lavender, the perfect light purple undertone for brides who want to turn heads. Delicate lace spaghetti straps support the gorgeously open back and lace appliques trickle throughout the skirt. This dress has become a fast favorite in our store and we can see her timeless style being a favorite for years to come!

Orlanda by Maggie Sottero

Can’t choose between long sleeves or showing off your shoulders? Have the best of BOTH worlds with Orlanda, Maggie Sottero’s gorgeous strapless sweetheart ballgown with additional detachable sleeves. These ultra-cool sheer lace long sleeves add a touch of whimsical edge to the dress and we love that, should you choose, you can take them off for a totally different reception look. The designer calls this color “stone” and it’s so gorgeous – partially pink, partially champagne, a little grey – this dress is a chameleon that fits ALL color palettes!

Tuscany Lynette by Maggie Sottero

Can you tell that Maggie Sottero has the colored dress game on lockdown? We absolutely love their unique color ways and how many dresses come in different color options. Tuscany Lynette above comes in FOUR color ways, so whether you’re wanting her in a traditional ivory or the super cool Misty Mauve (pictured!), you’re guaranteed to be a show stopper in this gown. We love its’ delicate beaded spaghetti straps, perfectly placed plunging neckline, and super cool textured lace underlay!

Penelope by Chic Nostalgia

Penelope is one of our absolute favorites from our boho designer, Chic Nostalgia. Featuring detachable bishop sleeves, this deliciously grey dress is the perfect stormy color. We love the delicately beaded lace bodice, soft plunging neckline, and flowy a-line skirt that is just begging to be twirled. Rain on your wedding day is supposed to be good luck and we’re just WAITING for a bride with a rainy day vision to rock this perfectly edgy storm of a gown!

Joanne by Rebecca Ingram

Okay, babes – meet this textured beauty, Joanne! This babe comes sleeveless or with detachable long bishop sleeves, the perfect ethereal accessory for this dreamy gown. Her Misty Mauve color is perfect for a bride wanting something nontraditional, but gorgeous. Her textured tulle throughout adds visual interest while keeping the dress looking chic and clean lines. Add in a triple-beaded banded waist to highlight your figure and this gown is READY for you!

Lucrezia (8295) by Morilee

This dress is for a glitter girl, through and through. We’re not kidding – be ready to be COVERED in gorgeous glitter wearing Lucrezia. Her show-stopping Rose Gold color was made for the ultimate girly girl, but she is available in a cool silvery-ivory as well. We love the delicately adorned pearls throughout the WHOLE dress – head to toe! Pair with Kate Spade’s Rose Gold sparkle Keds and you have a totally comfortable, yet glam wedding day look.

Raelynn by Maggie Sottero

Raelynn is probably one of our favorite colorful dresses! Featured above in our favorite color, this blush-and-platinum-grey dress, (yeah, you read that correctly), is literally the chicest of the chic. We love the trickling lace appliques, soft tulle skirt, and sexy-yet-subtle plunging neckline. Add in the banded waist, a trend we’re totally on board with, to really highlight your waist and this gown is perfect!

Which of these gowns is YOUR favorite?! Let us know on Facebook or show your consultant during your appointment!

One of our absolute favorite parts of our job is when we get to collaborate with our girl Shelby Laine for our monthly photoshoots. Sometimes we go all out, while others we rely on the effortlessly cool backdrop and gown to do all the hard work. Our most recent photoshoot is definitely one of those where the GOWN is truly a stunner – so we had to find something cool, funky, and just as eclectic as this Essense of Australia celestial blue gown! Check out some of our favorite images from our ultra-cool arcade shoot below.

This Essense of Australia gown features a soft a-line skirt, a plunging v neck with spaghetti straps, secret glitter tulle, and starry appliques throughout. This is the ultimate dream gown for a bride who wants a unique, sexy gown just as cool as she is!
