Alright, y’all, this next #dgbride is extra near and dear to our hearts. We can’t wait to introduce you to Anna, who married her soulmate, Ricky, in one of the most stunningly traditional ceremonies we’ve seen in a long time. Their gorgeously organic day was captured by longtime friend and photographer Jillian Lim, who captured some of the CUTEST pictures of these two! Get ready to fall as in love with Anna as we have, friends!

Us DG girls were first lucky enough to meet Anna when she worked across the street at Leslie Coffee Co; she was our barista for the many, many, MANY lattes we ordered. Anna had a vision of wearing her mother’s wedding dress on wedding day, but the amount of alterations it would have needed to make it wedding-ready was more than what Anna had in mind. So we took the ~vibe of her mother’s wedding dress and found her an absolutely stunning Wilderly gown, complete with the long sleeves she was wanting!

Anna chose an effortlessly cool sheet lace gown named Marigold, complete with a modest neckline, soft sleeves, and the most bohemian lace we’ve ever seen. Her soft gold undertone was the perfect compliment to the neutral colors Anna picked for her wedding day and we love the soft, romantic button detail all the way down her train. Anna wanted a dress that REMINDED her of her mother’s, while still being totally her own – and we think Marigold delivered!

We love that Anna’s soft, vintage wedding day vision perfectly matched her airy, ethereal day. Her vision is a great example of how to stay TRUE to your unique aesthetic, while still being able to fully customize her wedding day. We love the high neck, open back combination, which was perfect for their summertime wedding day. While Anna didn’t wear her mother’s dress on her wedding day, we think Marigold was the perfect combination between a vintage gown and a modern beauty!

Congratulations, Anna and Ricky! We are so thankful you chose Dress Gallery for your bridal boutique; we LOVED getting to know you and cannot thank you enough for the massive amount of caffeine that you provided us to help us going. We are so glad you trusted us to style you for such an important day. Your dress is truly perfect. We wish you both a lifetime of love and happiness. Cheers to the Oshakuades!

Guys – we are freaking out over this styled shoot we were invited to stylized by Couture Ever After. Nikki is truly a visionary in the wedding planning and event rental space; we always love seeing what her creative brain comes up with. Inspired by a dusty, romantic bohemian ceremony, Nikki created a custom backdrop and swing for this photoshoot – and then gave away a free photo session to a couple for Valentine’s Day! The whole team wanting to create a Valentine’s Day-inspired shoot unlike any other. There are so many great vendors to shout out, including our girl Free State Flora – peek the bottom of the post for a full list of vendors and links to their websites! (Quick S/O to Shelby Laine, because how dreamy are these photos?!)

Florals – Free State Flora | Hair & MUA – Tousled, Bijoux Beauty, J Rouge Salon | Hats – Hatman Jacks | Venue – Distillery 244 | Video – Aaron Datu | Jewelry – Powell Jewelry | Styling – Couture Ever After | Photo – Shelby Laine

We are so excited to show off some of our favorite images of our newest styled shoot featuring the Kansas Aviation Museum! If you’re looking for a unique, alternative place to host your wedding, you should definitely be adding the Kansas Aviation Museum to your list. Their beautiful space lists tons of room for guests (COVID ever allowing, of course), along with access for picturesque areas of the museum perfect for photos and also for guests.

We loved teaming up with KAM to help be a small part of this awesome styled shoot, shot by local photographer Justin Lister (who has been listed as one of our favorites in previous blog posts!) Check out some of our favorite shots featuring models Sarah & Spencer, an actual #dgcouple getting married in April!

For Sarah, we selected a whimsical and bohemian full lace sleeved a-line gown with flowing tulle skirt and keyhole back. Her illusion neckline and banded waist perfectly accentuate her silhouette while still allowing her to dance the night away! For Spencer, we chose one of our newest favorites, a Mulberry suit with mauve accents that matched the moody florals of the day.

Check out these awesome shots complete with vintage planes! Access to the museum is a perk of the venue, which not only acts as a cool backdrop for you, but also a unique experience for your guests. We love the idea of a romantic, intimate shot in the flight traffic tower!

We hope you love these images and are inspired to give KAM a look on your venue search! Are you a KAM bride? Let us know on Facebook and show off your photos!
